Rookies Sonia Citron & Kiki Iriafen Named to 2025 WNBA All-Star Game

The Washington Mystics are celebrating a historic moment as rookie guard Sonia Citron and rookie forward Kiki Iriafen have both been selected as reserves for the 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game, set for Saturday, July 19, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. This marks the first time since 1999 that two rookie teammates have been named All-Stars in the same season. Making Citron and Iriafen the first rookie duo in Mystics history and one of just four rookie pairs across WNBA/NBA history to earn this distinction

Drafted No. 3 overall, Sonia Citron has started all 18 games. She averages 14.6 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 2.0 APG, 1.1 SPG, with 46.8% FG and 38.0% 3FG . She’s one of only three rookies in the league scoring 20+ points and grabbing 10+ boards multiple times. Highlighted by her stellar 27-point, 11-rebound effort vs. Dallas . Kiki Iriafen also boasts a perfect 18-for-18 starts after being Drated No. 4 overall. She averages 12.3 PPG, 8.3 RPG (tied for fourth in WNBA), 1.3 APG, 45.9% FG. She became the fastest rookie in Mystics history, and among the fastest in WNBA since Tina Charles in 2010 to reach 100 points and 80 rebounds.
