Atlanta, Georgia – One of Georgia’s brightest young football stars is giving back to the next generation. Rising eighth-grade quarterback Avery Edwards will host the inaugural Avery Edwards Impact Camp on June 13 in Henry County, offering young student-athletes a free opportunity to develop both on and off the field. The camp was created with a purpose bigger than football. Designed to educate and empower youth athletes, the event will focus on fitness, nutrition, football fundamentals, and overall wellness. Along with football instruction, the camp will also raise awareness about diabetes prevention, helping young athletes understand the importance of taking care of their bodies early in life.
The event will be facilitated by several respected trainers and coaches including Coach Ross of Fearless Athletics, Coach Xavier Henderson of Shark Performance Academy, and Coach Gaiter of Gaiter Training. Athletes attending the camp can expect a full day of position-specific instruction, competitive drills, and 7-on-7 action designed to sharpen their skills while building confidence and discipline. The Georgia Eagles standout is widely regarded as one of the top prospects in the Class of 2031 thanks to his elite field vision, leadership, poise, and relentless work ethic. Whether it’s on the football field, basketball court, or baseball diamond, Edwards has consistently proven himself as a high-level competitor.
Over the years, Edwards has built an impressive resume filled with accolades. Dating back to 2021, he has earned multiple honors for his play and leadership. Most recently, he was named the 2026 Born To Compete 7th Grade Quarterback of the Year. In 2025, he helped lead his team to the 12U Battle Youth National Championship while also earning MVP honors at the Born Chaser Georgia vs. Alabama National Showcase. Now, Edwards is using his platform to inspire and uplift other young athletes in the community.
The inaugural Avery Edwards Impact Camp is shaping up to be a major success, bringing together football development, mentorship, and community awareness all under one event. With strong support from local trainers and the growing buzz surrounding Edwards’ name, the camp is expected to make a lasting impact throughout Henry County and beyond.
