The Coaches, Trainers, and Mentors Behind The Avery Edwards Impact Camp

Atlanta, Georgia – The inaugural Avery Edwards Impact Football Camp is shaping up to be one of the premier youth events of the summer in Henry County. While young athletes will have the opportunity to sharpen their football skills, the camp is about much more than what happens between the lines. Designed to educate, inspire, and develop the next generation, the free camp will feature a team of respected coaches, trainers, and mentors dedicated to helping participants grow both on and off the field. Before the action begins on June 13, let’s meet the facilitators who will be leading the way and making a lasting impact on the lives of these young athletes.

Coach Ross

Coach Ross is the owner of Fearless Athletics in McDonough, Georgia, and has dedicated nearly a decade to helping athletes maximize their potential. Since 2017, he has trained athletes ranging from youth competitors to collegiate, professional, and world-renowned athletes across the Southside of Atlanta. Specializing in speed development, agility training, strength conditioning, explosiveness, and overall sports performance, Coach Ross has built a reputation for helping athletes gain a competitive edge both on and off the field. Through his instruction at The Avery Edwards Impact Camp, campers will learn proper speed mechanics, movement efficiency, and proven training techniques designed to help them become faster, stronger, and more explosive athletes. His experience, passion, and proven results make him a valuable addition to this year’s camp.

Coach Jake Fletcher

Another outstanding coach helping facilitate the Avery Edwards Impact Camp is Coach Jake Fletcher, one of Metro Atlanta’s premier offensive and defensive line trainers. An insured and certified strength and conditioning specialist, as well as a nutritional coach through ISSA, Coach Fletcher brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the camp. A former collegiate football and baseball athlete, he understands firsthand the dedication and discipline required to compete at a high level. Currently he is the defensive line coach at Trinity Christian High School. Fletcher also trains athletes through Atlanta-based Effect Fitness, Coach Fletcher works with collegiate players on active rosters at programs such as Georgia Tech Athletics, Colorado Buffaloes Football, and Louisville Cardinals Football. His expertise in developing linemen, improving athletic performance, and teaching proper training habits will provide camp participants with valuable instruction that can help elevate their game both on and off the field.

Coach Xavier Henderson

Another outstanding facilitator for the Avery Edwards Impact Camp is Coach Xavier Henderson, a former standout football player at Frederick Douglass High School and the current Running Backs Coach at the school. As the founder and lead trainer of Shark Performance Academy, Coach Henderson has dedicated the last seven years to developing athletes and helping them maximize their potential both on and off the field. His experience includes athlete performance training as well as coaching linebackers, giving him a well-rounded understanding of player development from multiple positions and perspectives. Known for his ability to connect with young athletes and teach the fundamentals of speed, agility, discipline, and football IQ, Coach Henderson will bring a wealth of knowledge, energy, and mentorship to the Avery Edwards Impact Camp. His passion for developing the next generation of athletes will make him a valuable resource for every camper in attendance.

Coach Gaiter

With more than 14 years of experience developing athletes through coaching and training, Coach Gaiter brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the Avery Edwards Impact Camp. A certified AAU track coach for over a decade, he has helped countless young athletes break and set records throughout the City of Atlanta and Henry County. His experience spans all levels of competition, training athletes as young as four years old all the way to the professional ranks. As a track coach at Luella High School, his teams established new standards of excellence by setting school records, while his success on the wrestling mat led to an undefeated season and a championship appearance in just his second year as a coach. Known as a hands-on running backs specialist, Coach Gaiter combines skill development, mentorship, and high-level training to bring out the best in every athlete he works with. Camp participants can expect to learn from a proven coach who is committed to helping young athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field.

Coach Garrett “K10” Williams

Garrett Williams will be one of the featured instructors at the Avery Edwards Impact Camp, bringing years of playing, coaching, and mentoring experience to the event. A former collegiate quarterback, Williams was a four-year starter at both Savannah State University and Fort Valley State University, where he established himself as one of the program’s most productive signal-callers and held single-season passing records during his collegiate career. Today, Williams serves as a middle school Social Studies teacher in DeKalb County while continuing to impact the game as a quarterbacks coach at Lithonia High School. He is also the founder of K10 Quarterback University, a respected training program dedicated to developing quarterbacks throughout the Metro Atlanta area. Young quarterbacks attending the Avery Edwards Impact Camp will have a tremendous opportunity to learn from Coach Williams, whose passion for the position, attention to detail, and commitment to mentorship have helped shape the lives of countless young athletes. His ability to teach both the physical and mental aspects of quarterback play makes him an invaluable resource for aspiring quarterbacks looking to take their game to the next level.
