DeKalb County has long been recognized as one of Georgia’s premier producers of football talent, and the wide receiver position is no exception. From polished route runners to explosive playmakers capable of changing a game with a single touch, this year’s group is loaded with talent. As the 2026 high school football season approaches, these five receivers stand above the rest.
1. Jordan “JC” Christie | Sr. | Southwest DeKalb | 5’11”, 195 lbs
Heading into his final high school season, four-star Liberty commit Jordan “JC” Christie has an opportunity to cement his legacy as one of the greatest wide receivers in DeKalb County history.
Christie began his career at Cedar Grove, helping the Saints win a state championship before transferring to Southwest DeKalb. Since joining the Panthers, he’s done nothing but produce. Last season, he recorded 53 receptions for 953 yards and 11 touchdowns, establishing himself as one of Georgia’s most dangerous offensive weapons. His offseason stock continued to rise after earning recognition as one of the standout performers at Nike’s The Opening.
What separates Christie is the intensity he brings every time he steps on the field. He’s a natural leader with a high football IQ and consistently makes game-changing plays. His polished releases allow him to beat defenders off the line, he’s electric after the catch, and his top-end speed makes him a threat to score from anywhere on the field.
Despite all of his success, Christie has yet to record a 1,000-yard receiving season. If he reaches that milestone this fall, he’ll become DeKalb’s all-time leading receiver, surpassing former Tucker legend Josh Vann.
2026 Prediction: 1,200 receiving yards, 9 touchdowns
2. Rashad Blaylock | Jr. | McNair | 6’0”, 180 lbs
After leading DeKalb County in receiving yards last season, Rashad Blaylock enters his junior year with sky-high expectations.
McNair is coming off back-to-back playoff appearances, and with versatile star Keyontae Phillips now graduated, Blaylock is expected to become the centerpiece of the Mustangs’ offense. While he occasionally lines up at Wildcat quarterback, his biggest impact comes as a dynamic wide receiver.
Blaylock averaged 15 yards per reception in 2025 and is capable of scoring every time the ball touches his hands. Whether it’s a quick screen, a slant across the middle, or a deep vertical route, he has the ability to create explosive plays. His yards-after-catch ability makes him one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the county.
2026 Prediction: 1,400 receiving yards, 15 touchdowns
3. Jayden Joyner | Sr. | Tucker | 6’0”, 180 lbs
Nicknamed “12-Gauge” for his explosive playmaking ability, Jayden Joyner enters his senior season on pace to become Tucker’s first 1,000-yard receiver since Barry Manning accomplished the feat five years ago.
Joyner makes difficult catches look routine thanks to his smooth route running, ability to high-point the football, and natural instincts in the red zone and an underrated aspect of his game is his ability to block downfield allowing others to pop off for big plays. Although he finished last season with just 21 receptions—the fewest among DeKalb County’s top 20 receivers—he still totaled 521 receiving yards while averaging an incredible 25 yards per catch.
Even more impressive, nine of those 21 receptions resulted in touchdowns, meaning nearly 43 percent of his catches ended in the end zone. That’s a level of efficiency few receivers can match.
With Boston College commit Jace German returning at quarterback, Joyner appears primed for a breakout senior campaign and should once again be one of the county’s premier deep threats.
2026 Prediction: 900 receiving yards, 13 touchdowns
4. Aaron Graham | Sr. | Martin Luther King Jr. | 5’9”, 170 lbs
Known throughout DeKalb County simply as “Uno,” Aaron Graham has earned the respect of teammates, coaches, and opponents alike.
After posting 36 receptions for more than 800 yards while averaging an eye-popping 22.5 yards per catch last season, Graham has established himself as arguably the best route runner in the county. His ability to create separation at every level of the field consistently leaves defensive backs chasing.
Despite standing just 5-foot-9, Graham plays much bigger than his size. He’s fearless over the middle, physical after the catch, and displays outstanding body control in contested situations.
As one of the veteran leaders returning to MLK’s receiving corps, Graham will be expected to lead both on and off the field while looking to finish his high school career with his best season yet.
2026 Prediction: 1,100 receiving yards, 12 touchdowns
5. Anthony Flournoy | Jr. | Lithonia | 6’1”, 170 lbs
Anthony Flournoy rounds out this year’s top five, but he may possess the highest ceiling of anyone on the list.
The rising three-star junior combines ideal size, natural athleticism, and tremendous upside. At 6-foot-1, Flournoy has the frame to win contested catches while also possessing the speed and body control to stretch defenses vertically.
His development over the past year has been impressive, and he enters the season as the projected focal point of Lithonia’s passing attack. If he continues his upward trajectory, don’t be surprised if he finishes among DeKalb County’s statistical leaders and enters the 2027 season as the county’s top returning receiver.
