B2C Predicts North Clayton to Finish 3rd in 3A Region 5, Tabs Justin Murphy as Player of the Year

College Park, GA – Born to Compete (B2C), one of Georgia’s most respected youth and high school sports platforms, released its preseason predictions this week, and the Eagles are projected to finish third in the highly competitive GHSA 3A Region 5. Even more attention-grabbing, North Clayton’s  junior standout Justin Murphy was named B2C’s 3A Region 5 Preseason Player of the Year.

Building Momentum in College Park

North Clayton is no stranger to adversity. After years of rebuilding, the Eagles have become a team to watch under the leadership of head coach Cap Burnett, who is determined to make the playoffs with this team.

“This is the group we have been waiting on” Coach Burnett said. “Leadership is in place…When you have player led teams, more than likely they are successful”.

Eyes on the Playoffs

With Murphy leading the charge and a rising core of underclassmen behind him, expectations are higher than they’ve been in years. A third-place finish in Region 5 would likely guarantee a playoff berth something the program and its fan base is starving for. As the season approaches, one thing is clear. North Clayton isn’t just looking to compete. They’re looking to conquer.
