How do you balance training with academics and personal life?
Being a multi-sport athlete coming out of Carrollton, Georgia, balancing training, academics, and my personal life comes down to discipline and time management. I treat school and football with the same level of focus because both are part of the bigger picture. I keep my priorities straight. I have 4 core values with faith, family, school, then football and I make sure I’m giving 100% to each. It’s not always easy, but when you want something bad enough, you find a way to make it all work.

Are you attending any camps or combines to gain exposure?
Yes sir, I’ve been attending several camps and combines to stay sharp and gain more exposure. I’ve competed at AAE, FBU, Under Armour, and NXGN. I’ve earned DB MVP at both AAE and NXGN, and received an invite to the AAE National Showcase. Always looking for the next opportunity to compete, grow, and prove myself against top talent.

Who do you train with during the off-season? Do you have a mentor or trainer?
During the off-season, I lock in with Coach 3rd (@coach3rd) for all my DB work. He’s been a big part of my development on the defensive side. For wideout work, I train with @arvaefitness to stay sharp on the offensive end. I also get in footwork sessions with @coachkristrains and DB technique with @idareu. Each coach brings something different, and together they help me stay ready year round.

How are you staying in shape during the off-season?
I’ve been hitting the weight room, grinding on the field with position drills, speed/agility work, and staying disciplined with my nutrition and recovery. No off-season when you’ve got big goals.

What specific goals have you set for yourself before next season?
Before next season, my goals are to win a championship, earn college offers, and become the best version of myself on and off the field. My dream school is the University of Auburn, and I’m working hard every day to get their attention this upcoming season. I am working to be one of the best defensive players to ever come out of Carrollton Ga.

Are you working on any particular skills or techniques right now?
Right now, I’m locked in on mastering key defensive fundamentals and leveraging my angles, improving tackling form, and locking in my backpedal efficiency. My goal is to dominate the safety position and secure my spot as the #1 ranked safety in Georgia’s Class of 2030. I’m working hard every rep to build the technique and consistency that set elite players apart.

What part of your game do you think improved most last season?
Last season, I’d say my ball skills and instincts in coverage improved the most. I worked hard on reading quarterbacks and making plays on the ball, which helped me increase my interceptions and tackles for loss. Always looking to keep leveling up.

What lessons did you take away from last season?
From last season, I learned that consistency and mindset are everything. Every play counts, and staying disciplined both on and off the field is key to growth. Challenges showed me where I needed to improve, and the hard work I put in during the offseason will make the difference this year. Staying hungry and focused is the biggest lesson.

Is there a moment from last season that stands out to you?
One moment that really stands out from last season was that punt block I returned for a touchdown. It was a game-changer and showed how every play counts. Always stay ready. That moment reminded me that hard work and focus can turn the tide in an instant.

What motivates you to keep pushing during the off-season?
What motivates me to keep pushing during the off-season is my family, especially my parents. They’ve sacrificed so much and always believed in me, even when things got tough. I want to make them proud and show them that their support isn’t wasted. Their faith in me drives me to stay focused and keep grinding every day.

How do you stay mentally sharp and focused when games aren’t being played?
I stay mentally sharp and focused by treating every day like game day. Whether it’s practice, training, or rest. I set goals, study film, and keep my mind in the game even when I’m off the field. Consistency and discipline build that focus so when it’s time to play, I’m ready to perform at my best.

What kind of diet or nutrition plan are you following now?
Right now, I’m focused on a balanced diet that fuels my training and recovery. Plenty of lean proteins, complex carbs, and healthy fats. Hydration and clean eating are key to keeping my energy up and staying sharp on the field. Consistency is everything.

Have you taken on a leadership role with your team during the break?
Yes, I’ve been stepping up and leading by example every day, whether it’s pushing harder in practice or encouraging the guys to stay focused. Leadership is about showing up and setting the tone, and I’m all in.

Are you watching or studying any pro or college players for inspiration?
I study a few. Guys like Minkah Fitzpatrick, Brian Branch, and Malaki Starks. I watch how they move, how they read plays, and how they fly to the ball. I’m always trying to pick up little things that I can apply to my own game. I also get inspiration from my uncle. He’s a 2x Super Bowl champion, now in his 10th season in the NFL with his new team, the Washington Commanders. Having someone that is close to the game motivates me to keep chasing greatness.

What’s your favorite part about football that keeps you coming back?
I just love the game. Always have and always will!

How do you deal with pressure and expectations from coaches or peers?
I don’t let pressure break me. I let it build me. I use expectations as motivation to stay focused, keep working, and prove myself every time I step on the field. I stay grounded in my faith, trust my preparation, and let my game speak.

Are there any teammates you think will have a breakout season next year?
Legend Owensby, Amiyun Patton and Josh Hudson.

What college or post-high school football goals do you have?
My goal is to play Division 1 football at the highest level, compete against top talent, and earn a scholarship. I’m focused on continuing to grow as an athlete and a student, and I want to make an impact on and off the field wherever I go.

Have you been contacted by any recruiters or started thinking about your next steps?
I speak with a recruiter from the University of Kansas from time to time. I’m always open. Recruitment is a journey itself, and I’m ready for whatever comes next.

What are you most excited about for the upcoming season?
I’m most excited about leading Carrollton to a state championship, making a name for myself, and earning recognition as the #1 ranked safety in Georgia for the Class of 2030. I’ve been grinding all offseason, balling out in practice and games and I’m ready for my moment to shine. This season is about turning all that dedication into action.
