Quarterback Czar Daniels Ready to Lead Columbia to the Next Level in 2026

Decatur, Georgia- Being the starting quarterback at any level requires poise, leadership, confidence, and the ability to perform under pressure. Those are all qualities that Czar Daniels has embraced as he prepares to take the next step in his football journey.

The Columbia High School signal-caller has quietly built a reputation as one of the more intriguing quarterbacks in the area. Daniels possesses a strong arm and has shown the ability to make every throw on the field. Whether it is stretching defenses vertically, fitting passes into tight windows, or delivering on the move, he has proven he can command the offense. Just as important, Daniels shows the pocket presence coaches value in a quarterback. He steps up under pressure, keeps his eyes downfield, and displays strong awareness when plays begin to break down.

During his junior season, Daniels put together impressive numbers while helping lead Columbia to a successful campaign. He finished with 1,808 passing yards and 14 touchdown passes, guiding the program to the 2A Region 6 championship. While those numbers stand out, it was his leadership and ability to deliver in key moments that helped set the tone for Columbia’s title run. Despite the production and team success, Daniels has flown relatively under the radar compared to other quarterbacks receiving attention across the state. When asked why he believes he has not received heavy recognition, Daniels gave an honest response: “One of the reasons is probably because we 2A.”

That answer speaks to a reality many smaller-school athletes face. Players at lower classifications are often overlooked, even when producing at a high level. But Columbia’s schedule tells a different story. The program consistently challenged itself by playing larger schools, including opponents from the 7A classification. Facing elite competition week after week helped sharpen the team and prepare them for region play.

That battle-tested mentality has been a major reason Columbia has remained competitive and continued climbing as a program. Now, with the school moving up to 3A this upcoming season, the challenge only grows greater. Yet it is also another opportunity for Daniels to prove he belongs in conversations with some of the state’s top quarterbacks. For Columbia to make a deep playoff run in 2026, Daniels will need to be at his best. His decision-making, leadership, and playmaking ability will be critical as the Eagles navigate another demanding schedule. The good news for Columbia is that their quarterback has already been putting in the work this offseason, determined to elevate both his game and the program.

As the 2026 season approaches, expect Czar Daniels to play with something to prove. He has the talent, experience, and mindset to help take Columbia to the next level, and this could be the year more people begin to notice.
